A part of the original wave of digital fashion tastemakers, VANESSA HONG gained accolades for her unique styling aesthetics and distinct minimal language in her creative content. After graduating from university with a biochemistry degree, she found unexpected success in the fields of modeling, styling, accessories design, and brand consulting. Her likeness has graced international sites and pages of countless top tier publications, as well as collaborations with prestigious fashion and jewelry brands such as Tory Burch, Jimmy Choo, Chloe & Furla. In 2015, Vanessa launched her debut RTW collection of luxurious faux fur coats and stoles, which has since been seen worn by fashion insiders and celebrities such as Lady Gaga. She has also contributed significant creative direction for 3.1 Phillip Lim and Holt Renfrew, hosted fashion week specials for E! Entertainment and lent her platforms for numerous AAPI-related causes. Vanessa currently resides and creates in Canada, though she has begun globetrotting once again. She shares her life, inspiration and work on her popular Instagram account @vanessahong, which publishes high quality content with a strong focus on wellness. She also hosts the podcast Vanessa Wants to Know, where she engages numerous individuals such as Phillip Lim, Michelle Lee, Prabal Gurung, and more through insightful conversation. Today, Vanessa’s goal is to create stronger sustainability practices within the fashion industry.
